2174 new cases of Corona in Sindh, 40 patients died

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement on the status of corona virus said that 26891 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. As a result, 2174 new cases were reported. While 40 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. As a result, the total number of deaths has reached 6275.

He said that today 2149 more patients have recovered. Thus, the total number of healthy people has reached 349608.

So far 5189244 samples have been tested. As a result, 403947 cases have been reported. At present 48064 patients are undergoing treatment. Out of which 46526 patients are being treated in homes, 42 in isolation centers and 1496 in various hospitals.

He said that the condition of 1317 patients has been declared critical and 107 patients are on ventilators.

He said that out of 2174 new cases in the province, 1245 are from Karachi. Of these, 406 new cases were reported from East District, 299 from South District, 211 from Central District, 153 from Korangi, 107 from Malir and 69 from West District.

Other districts Hyderabad 163, Sukkur 80, Shikarpur 75, Jamshoro 67, Ghotki 65, Shaheed Benazirabad 51, Badin 44, Kashmore 42, Khairpur 37, Qambar 36, Jacobabad 33, Sanghar 32, Matiari 31, Tharparkar 30, Tando Allahyar 21, Tando Muhammad Khan and Thatta 20. 20, Umerkot 16, Dadu 13, Larkana 11, Mirpur Khas 7 and Nowshero Feroze 3 new cases have come to light. 

The Chief Minister said that 8229979 people have been vaccinated till August 8. A total of 8438655 or 24.58% people have been vaccinated.
