Emory University ‘active shooter’: Cops rush to main campus after emergency alert sent to students

Emory University is asking students and staff to shelter in place due to a possible armed suspect on the main campus.

A large amount of police are responding to North Druid Hills High School, which is near the university. Emory said they have officers at North Druid Hills High.

The chilling warning was sent out to students and staff at Emory University in Atlanta at around 11.40am on Thursday.

Police activity was also reported at North Druid Hills High School in DeKalb County, which is in proximity to the university. It’s unclear at this time if the two incidents are related. 

Emory University campus police did not immediately respond to a request for comment from us.
