Former Afghan Army Chief General (retd) Sher Mohammad Karimi has revealed that the Afghan army was not ordered to fight, corruption and political interference destroyed the Afghan army.

In an interview with a Turkish broadcaster, former Afghan army chief General (retd) Sher Muhammad Karimi said the problem was not that the army did not want to fight, they were not ordered to fight.

Retired General Karimi said that Afghan politicians are involved in all military matters and appointments in the army were also made at the behest of politicians.
