Ashraf Ghani US-based son refuses to comment on Afghan political situation

Tariq Ghani, the son of exiled and fugitive former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, has declined to comment on the fall of his father’s government and the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul.

According to a British newspaper, Tariq Ghani, 39, who lives in a high-class residential area of ​​Washington DC, is a professor of economics and is living happily with his partner Elizabeth Pearson in an expensive town house.

His partner is a supporter of Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Tariq Ghani was born and raised in the United States. His mother, Rola, is from Lebanon, while his older sister, Maryam Ghani, 43, lives in New York.
