Britain announces resettlement of 20,000 Afghan refugees

The UK has announced the resettlement of 20,000 Afghan refugees.

According to media reports, 5,000 Afghan refugees will be eligible for resettlement in the first year, with women and girls being given priority.

According to foreign media, a meeting of the British Parliament will also be held to consider the situation in Afghanistan.
