China to supply 6 million more vaccines to Pakistan this week
Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong has said that China will supply 6 million more doses of corona vaccine to Pakistan this week.
Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on President Dr. Arif Alvi in Islamabad.
The Chinese ambassador told the President that China would provide 6 million doses of vaccine to Pakistan this week.
He added that 100 million doses of vaccine would be provided to Pakistan by China by the end of this year.
During the meeting, Dr. Arif Alvi said that strategic cooperation and partnership would take Pak-China relations to new heights.
He said that the two true friends stood by each other in all circumstances, Pakistan supports China’s policy on Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong and the South China Sea.
The President further said that Pakistan was committed to the timely completion of the C-Pak project, adding that some hostile elements were not happy with the C-Pak and were trying to sabotage it.
He also said that anti-China-Pakistan economic corridors would not succeed, adding that the safety of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan was Pakistan’s top priority.
Dr. Arif Alvi said that the government of Pakistan is taking all measures for the protection of Chinese citizens.
Meanwhile, the President appreciated China’s support on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, NSG and FATF.
The Chinese Ambassador said that Pakistan is a close friend of China, China is keen to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, China’s experiences will help Pakistan’s social and economic prosperity.
A statement of meeting was also issued, according to which Pakistan and China reiterated their commitment to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
According to the statement, the two sides stressed the need for collective efforts to promote peace and development in the region.
