Decision to end lockdown in Sindh on August 9, NCOC

The National Command and Control Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to end the lockdown in Sindh on August 9.

A joint meeting of the National Command and Operations Center was held at the Chief Minister’s House hosted by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Sindh, Federal Minister Asad Umar, Lieutenant General Hamoodul Zaman, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister C-Pak Khalid Mansoor, Major General Mahmood, Dr Faisal and others.

In the meeting, it has been proposed to open bazaars all over Sindh including Karachi till 8 pm while it has also been decided to open outdoor dining in restaurants.

According to sources, it has been decided to allow the wedding ceremonies to be held in an open space. 200 guests will be allowed to attend the open air functions.

Participants in the NCOC meeting in Karachi said that the fourth wave of Corona in Pakistan has now entered its sixth week. Now there is a decrease in the number of cases in the country. However, cowardice is on the rise in Azad Jammu and Kashmir with 26% cases.

The meeting took stock of the situation in Sindh, especially in Karachi.

 The NCOC meeting has decided to strictly implement SOPs of Corona virus in 13 cities including Karachi and Hyderabad.

The decision to reopen the school in Sindh will be taken at the inter-provincial education ministers ‘meeting, while the decision regarding examinations in Sindh will also be taken at the next inter-provincial education ministers’ meeting.

According to the NCOC statement, the meeting called for strict implementation of Corona SOPs in view of Muharram.

The meeting also called for strict implementation of Corona SOPs in view of the end of lockdown and implementation of smart lockdown to control the global epidemic.
