The European Commission says it is trying to stem the tide of Afghan migration. According to information received from Brussels, the commission said that it has taken Pakistan into confidence over the impending crisis of Afghan refugees.

The European Union says it is trying to stave off a refugee crisis. We are not encouraging Afghans to leave the country, the EU said, and will continue to work to protect human rights activists, journalists and women.
