Sudan: Heavy rains and floods kill 52, destroy thousands of homes

Heavy rains and floods have killed at least 52 people in Sudan’s Sinar and Nahr-e Nile provinces.

Authorities in Khartoum say 26 people have been killed so far in Sinar and 26 in the Nahrnil area.

He added that 3,890 houses were destroyed and 12,500 houses were partially damaged due to the floods.
