A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Department of Higher Education, Punjab and BISP.
The MoU was signed by Naeem Ghous, Special Secretary, HED and Naveed Akbar, Director General (CCT), BISP.
The MoU was signed under the supervision of Provincial Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Secretary HED Naeem Ghous said that under this program, children of grant-eligible families would be able to get regular education in government colleges. It will be very useful.
The MoU between HED and BSEP will benefit the students of Inter of Registered Eligible Families.
Procedures for Response and Responsibility Transfer have been formulated in the MoU. HED Punjab will provide assistance to these deserving students for admission in government colleges. A board will also be formed.
In order to make the program more organized, training of teachers and college faculty will also be arranged and HED will share other information including attendance with BSP on quarterly basis to ensure the welfare of its deserving students.
