Honest on submarine deal with France: Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton

Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton says Australia has been clear and honest about the submarine deal with France.

Peter Dutton says he had raised concerns with France about the cost of the deal, which has now multiplied by 40 billion Dollar in 2016.

He said he had told the French defense minister that Australia would work in its national interest.

It is to be noted that Australia has terminated its submarine agreement with France and agreed to buy nuclear-powered submarines from the United States.
