Mercury likely to rise 40 degrees today: Karachi

Sardar Sarfraz, director of the Meteorological Department, said the temperature in Karachi, the country’s largest city, could reach 40 degrees Celsius even today.

He said sea breezes were blowing in Quaid-e-Azam city, while warm winds were blowing from the northeast.

Sardar Sarfraz said that clouds could form in northeast and east of Karachi even today.

He said that it is less likely to rain in the city today than yesterday, however, there may be drizzle.

The Director Meteorological Department said that the low pressure in Gujarat has increased towards the sea.

He added that Karachi’s sea breezes were suspended due to low pressure spread.

Sardar Sarfraz also said that sea breezes are likely to resume in Karachi from tomorrow morning while the weather may remain hot for the next three days.
