Quetta suicide blast at FC check post, CTD spokesman

A spokesman for the Balochistan Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said the suicide bomber struck at the Sohna Khan FC check post on Mastung Road in Quetta.

According to the CTD spokesperson, three security personnel were martyred and more than 20 others were injured in the suicide blast at the FC check post.

A spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) also said a CTD team was on the scene and an investigation had been launched.

It should be noted that all the injured in the suicide attack in Quetta have been shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

Apart from rescue teams, CTD and bomb disposal squads rushed to the spot after the blast and started investigation.

Police say initial evidence suggests the blast was a suicide bombing, and the bomber’s head and other body parts have been seized.

According to police officials, the suicide bomber was riding a motorcycle when his motorcycle collided with a law enforcement vehicle.
