Rameez Raja elected new chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board

Former captain and well-known commentator Rameez Raja has been elected as the new chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

A special meeting of the Governing Board for the election of the new Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board was held today at the National High Performance Center, which was chaired by the Board’s Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed.

Former captain and Patron Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nominee Rameez Raja was elected unopposed as chairman of the governing board. No elected representative attended the meeting as the election process of the provincial association was not completed.

Governing Board members Asim Wajid Jawad, Alia Zafar, Asad Ali Khan, Arif Saeed, Javed Qureshi, Rameez Raja and Wasim Khan attended the special meeting.

Rameez Raja is the 36th chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. He has been given the chairmanship of the PCB in place of Ehsan Mani.

Ehsan Mani served as PCB chairman for three years.
