Restoration of frozen accounts in Afghanistan is necessary, Munir Akram

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram has said that it is necessary to restore the frozen accounts of Afghanistan and the international community should help Kabul on humanitarian grounds.

Addressing the Security Council meeting, Munir Akram said that terrorist organizations including ISIS and Al-Qaeda should not be allowed to set foot in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that talks with the Taliban should be maintained and millions of people should be prevented from dying due to starvation.
