Taliban also found 100 Russian-made helicopters with other stockpiles of weapons

Russia says the Taliban, who came to power in Kabul, also received 100 Russian-made helicopters with other weapons.

In this regard, the head of Russia’s official arms exports said that as a result of the occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban have also received 100 Russian-made helicopters, which are in various forms for use.

The Russian-made Mi-17 transport aircraft is said to have been purchased by the United States for the Afghan Armed Forces.

The reason for buying it from Russia is that it is much cheaper than the American-made UH60 Black Hawks and relatively easy to fly.

However, the aforementioned Russian arms exporter says the Taliban are unable to use them on a large scale because they do not have access to their maintenance, crews and spare parts.
