Sanitary worker killed by poisonous gas from gutter: Karachi
A sanitary worker died due to poisonous gas while cleaning a gutter in New Karachi Industrial Area of Karachi while 4 others succumbed to their injuries.
While cleaning the gutter in New Karachi Industrial Area Madina Colony, a sanitary worker fainted due to poisonous gas and four more people including 3 rescue personnel descended into the gutter to save him.
Due to the gas coming out of the gutter, the condition of all the people deteriorated and they were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with the help of police for immediate medical aid.
One died at the hospital while the injured were identified as Sajjad Ali, 25, Saeed Qureshi, 35, Shehzad, 40, and Farooq, 30.
