Veneno star Isabel Torres has sadly passed away from lung cancer at the age of 52.
Isabel rose to fame when she became one of three transgender actresses to portray Spanish LGBT icon Cristina Ortiz Rodríguez in the 2020 biographical TV series.
‘Today, February 11, 2022, we say goodbye to Isabel,’ her family wrote in Spanish on Instagram post that they shared on Isabel’s page.
They continued, ‘Although her family and friends feel her loss deeply, we know that wherever she goes, she will have fun as only she knows how.
‘Thank you for all the messages of affection and concern. She has left feeling very loved and supported.’
The post, which included the written statement and a beautiful black and white image of the star, was captioned: ‘Thank you all for the support and shows of affection right now.’

According to Spanish press, Isabel had been battling cancer for two years before it spread to her bones.
Per El Periodico, the actress said that she had received her diagnosis while she was filming Veneno during an appearance on the Spanish channel Telecinco.
‘I was in the middle of filming the series and I was in pain,’ she said.
She learned that she had cancer after traveling to her home region, the Canary Islands.
‘The entrance of the disease in my life was a vase of cold water,’ Isabel told Telecinco.
In an Instagram video that she shared last November, Isabel revealed that doctors had given her two months to live.
