Stamp mafia objects to electronic voting machine: Farrukh Habib

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that the electronic voting machine is being objected by the Thapa Mafia.

Talking to media in Faisalabad, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said that reforms were needed for transparent elections to strengthen democracy in the country.

He said that the PTI government was only working on reforms, the opposition was in a quandary, which did not suggest any reforms.

Farrukh Habib said that after every election there is a noise of rigging. The Supreme Court of Pakistan said that bring reforms, give the right to overseas.

He said that the Election Commission has raised objections on its own efficiency. The objections of the Election Commission reach the media first and the government later.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said that the Election Commission, through its press release, gives the impression that it is against electoral reforms.

He asked Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz to state what suggestions they have for holding transparent elections.

Farrukh Habib further said that technology is being used in every field, its use in elections is being objected to.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting has also said that Parliament is supreme, the final decisions are to be made by Parliament.
