Swearing in of the Afghan government will be attended by Russian officials

The new Afghan government will be sworn in on September 11. Russian officials will attend the ceremony. Pakistan has expressed good wishes for the new Afghan government.

The Foreign Office spokesman said he hoped the new political arrangement in Afghanistan would ensure peace, stability and security.

The United States has expressed concern over some members of the Taliban cabinet.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal has said that Saudi Arabia is committed to helping the Afghan people, and that Saudi Arabia will support whatever path the Afghan people choose without external interference.
