The Taliban’s advance in Afghanistan continues, with the Taliban seizing Sharana, the capital of Paktika province.
US media say that the governor of Paktika and other officials surrendered, after which they left for Kabul.
Since the latest occupation, the number of provincial capitals under Taliban control has risen to 19.
It should be noted that a militant commander in Herat had also surrendered to the Taliban yesterday.
The Taliban said Tor Ismail Khan, a militant commander in the Afghan province of Herat, had surrendered, while Herat Governor Abdul Sabur Qane had also surrendered.
