The Taliban have assured journalists not to be targeted, Reporters Without Borders said

The Afghan Taliban have vowed not to target journalists in the country.

Reporters Without Borders, an international organization working to protect journalists, says the Taliban have assured journalists not to be targeted.

Reporters Without Borders added that the Taliban had also promised to allow women to work in the media. 

According to the news agency, the assurance was given by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.
