Taliban hints ban on women’s cricket

In Afghanistan, the Taliban have hinted at banning women from playing cricket and other sports.

Taliban spokesman Ahmadullah Wasiq told Australian media in an exclusive interview that the Taliban would ban women from playing cricket and other sports in Afghanistan.

He said that women should not be allowed to play cricket as it could lead to nakedness.

Ahmadullah Wasiq also says that Islam does not allow any clothing that makes the body stand out.
