Two boats collide, one passenger killed, 120 missing: India

In India, a large passenger boat allegedly collided with another government boat, leaving 120 people missing. 

According to Indian media reports, the incident took place at Namati Ghat in Jorhat district of Assam on the Brahmaputra river. 

A private boat named Makmala was going to Majuli from Namati Ghat while the official ferry collided with “Tripkai” which was coming from Majuli to Namati Ghat. 

According to media reports, one person has been confirmed dead in the incident so far, while 120 people are still missing.
