Understand the frustration of France, Prime Minister of Australia

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he understands France’s frustration at ending the deal.

Scott Morrison said in a statement that it was “very disappointing” for France.

He said Australia, like an independent state, had decided in the national interest.

The Prime Minister of Australia further said that the new agreement with the United States is in the national interest by terminating the submarine agreement with France.

On the other hand, Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton said that Australia remained clear and honest on the issue of submarine agreement with France.

It is to be noted that Australia has terminated its submarine agreement with France and agreed to buy nuclear-powered submarines from the United States.
