Former national team captain and senior Test batsman Azhar Ali has said that the entire team will see Arshad Nadeem at the Olympics tomorrow.
During an online press conference in Karachi, Azhar Ali expressed good wishes for Arshad Nadeem on behalf of the entire team.
He said he was hopeful that Arshad Nadeem would win a gold medal for Pakistan at the Tokyo Olympics.
Azhar Ali said that he wants to make a good start to the World Test Championship. Having fewer Test matches as a player is disappointing.
He said that the bowling attack of West Indies is good, every team creates difficulties at home ground, if they take the lead in the beginning of the World Test, then other teams may come under pressure.
The senior Test batsman added that it takes a lot of hard work to win in the West Indies, every player tries to give his best in every series.
He also said that he would try to score centuries in both the matches and would visit Jamaica to see the conditions there.
Azhar Ali said that we have good options for both Spain and fast bowling, my focus is to perform well in the Test Championship and Pakistan to win the championship.
He said that T20 cricket is not a threat to Test cricket, Test viewers still watch it today, in countries outside Asia, Test cricket is still given importance.
The national Test cricketer added that looking at the subcontinent, sometimes it seems that Test cricket should not be ended.
